‘I didn’t hear from her again’

Cage once joked that he may not have made the best impression when he met Parker’s mother.

Speaking about their relationship, he recalled having dinner with Parker and her mother at New York’s Russian Tea Room. Things apparently didn’t go much further after that meeting.

“I cared about Sarah, but I don’t think I passed the Mom test. I recall sitting down with her and her mother for dinner at the Russian Tea Room, and I don’t know if it was my blue Vanson Leather motorcycle jacket (which I still have) or my sinusitis, but I didn’t hear from her again.”

So, in Cage’s telling, that dinner may have been the last chapter of their short-lived romance.
