The dedication of 1,000 trees also reflects Juhi’s longstanding interest in tree plantation and environmental awareness. She has marked other family occasions with similar gestures in the past. In 2020, Juhi dedicated 1,000 trees to her son, Arjun Mehta, on his birthday as part of the Cauvery Calling initiative. At the time, she explained that she preferred planting trees on special occasions instead of sending flowers that would last only a few days. “Instead of sending flowers which would die in three-four days, we plant 100 trees for whoever I want to wish,” she told Hindustan Times at that time. Her latest birthday dedication follows that approach, bringing together a family celebration and an environmental gesture. For her mother’s birthday, the actor’s message focused on the everyday habits that make her feel cared for including the familiar insistence that she leave for the airport three hours before departure.

When a parent’s worry feels like overprotection

A parent asking a child to leave three hours early for a flight may seem overly cautious, but such routines can reflect how parents try to protect their children from uncertainty. From reminding them to eat before leaving to checking whether they have reached safely, parents often express concern through repeated instructions rather than emotional conversations. The challenge is knowing when care becomes control. Parents can keep checking in while also allowing children to make age-appropriate decisions, manage their time and learn from small mistakes. Instead of turning every reminder into an instruction, they can explain their concern, listen to the child’s plan and agree on what is reasonable. The aim is not to stop worrying altogether, but to make children feel supported without making every decision for them.
