Aneet Padda’s upcoming horror-comedy ‘Shakti Shalini’ is still set for a December 24, 2026 release, which means it will clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’. Reports had earlier suggested the film might move to 2027, but the latest update points the other way.
‘Shakti Shalini’ release date not postponed
Earlier reports claimed the makers were thinking of delaying ‘Shakti Shalini’ to avoid a face-off with ‘King’, starring Shah Rukh Khan. However, according to the Free Press Journal report, the date remains unchanged. The film’s promotional video, shown with screenings of ‘Prahaar’, carried December 24, 2026, as the release date. The report stated that the announcement was spotted during one such screening.
Clash with ‘King’ looks firm
Since both films are currently slated for December 24, 2026, a big box office battle seems likely. Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited ‘King’ is expected to draw huge crowds, which makes the clash even more interesting for trade watchers.
