Maharashtra ends institutional rounds for private medical colleges, tightens rules against seat blocking

The Maharashtra government has revamped undergraduate medical and dental admissions by eliminating institutional rounds in private colleges and bringing all seats under the CET Cell’s centralised counselling process. It has also introduced a two-year admission ban for candidates who skip seats allotted in the final round, while retaining the existing free-exit provision after the first counselling round.
