IIM graduate Nandini Sethi shared an Instagram video revealing that she spent ₹1,31,277 during June after moving into a new apartment in Mumbai.Along with the post, she wrote, “₹1,31,277 in a single month. How much are your monthly expenses?” She also added, “PS: This doesn’t even include any investments. Why do people like this city so much?”

Sethi said she had recently shifted to a new flat where the monthly rent was ₹31,000. As the apartment was unfurnished, she spent around ₹25,000 on furniture.Her expenses also included deep cleaning, AC installation, groceries, transportation, and payments for a cook and house help.After sharing the final figure, she asked, “Is it too much?” and said, “I am still wrapping my head around how expensive the city is.”
