Aamir Khan meets Raj Thackeray with wife Gauri Spratt
As per reports, Aamir Khan’s wife, Gauri Spratt, was with him during the visit to Raj Thackeray. The two men have met before and are known to share a warm equation. This time, however, the meeting comes when Imran is challenging a notice from Mumbai’s Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO). The notice reportedly asks him to leave India by October 28, 2026.
Speculation over the meeting
Photos of Aamir Khan and Raj Thackeray together have appeared on social media earlier, so their association is not new. Still, the timing of Sunday’s visit has led people to wonder whether Imran’s case came up in the conversation. There is no confirmation of that so far.Neither the political leader has issued a statement linking the meeting to Imran’s legal matter, and reports have not shared any details of the talks at Shivtirth. The speculation has also grown because of Raj Thackeray’s own criticism of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, against whom the protest attended by Imran and his girlfriend Lekha Washington was held.
Imran Khan moves Bombay High Court
Imran has reportedly approached the Bombay High Court against the FRRO notice. This came after he and Lekha took part in a protest organised by Citizens for Justice and Peace at Mumbai’s August Kranti Maidan on October 10. Both were detained during the demonstration, which was held against Gyanesh Kumar.
How the protest became a flashpoint
Imran Khan’s presence at the protest soon drew political attention. Former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya approached the Mumbai Police and sought an inquiry into the actor’s participation. This brought Imran’s citizenship and legal status into public discussion.The FRRO notice followed soon after, and Imran moved the High Court seeking relief. Aamir Khan’s visit to Raj Thackeray’s residence has happened against this backdrop. Even so, there is no official word that the meeting was arranged to discuss Imran’s case.
