The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to release the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2026 provisional answer key this week. The agency will also release answer keys for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR UGC NET), Indian Council of Agricultural Research All India Entrance Examination (ICAR AIEEA) (PG) and All India Competitive Examination (AICE) (PhD) 2026.Once the answer keys are released, candidates will be able to check them on the official NTA website. Candidates will also get an opportunity to raise objections against any answer they believe is incorrect.The agency will consider the objections before preparing the final answer key. Candidates are advised to rely only on official announcements from NTA for updates.
UGC NET answer key 2026
The release of the UGC NET provisional answer key date comes after concerns over the delay in the process.UGC NET was conducted from June 22 to June 30 and again on July 5 for candidates seeking eligibility for the post of assistant professor, admission to PhD programmes and the award of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).The delay created uncertainty among candidates regarding their academic and research plans.
What happens after the UGC NET answer key is released?
After the provisional answer key is published, candidates will be able to check their responses and calculate their probable scores. If they find any answer incorrect, they can raise objections within the given period.NTA will examine the objections and make necessary changes, if required. The final answer key will be prepared after the objection process is completed.Candidates should keep checking the official NTA website for the answer key, objection window and other updates.
NTA will also release answer keys for other exams
Along with UGC NET, NTA is also expected to release answer keys for the following examinations:
- CSIR UGC NET: Conducted for eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship/Assistant Professor in science subjects.
- ICAR AIEEA (PG): Conducted for admission to postgraduate programmes.
- AICE (PhD): Conducted for admission to PhD programmes.
